1984 Chicago Cubs – Ryne Sandberg Game-Worn Jersey

Calling all Cubs fans to bid on this gamer!   With the play offs going off right now, there is no better time to invest in one of the most significant jersey’s in the Cubs more recent history.. Offered in the October 22nd sale.  Ryne Sandberg was known as “Kid Natural” and served as the Cubs team leader at second base during his career in the Windy City. Ryne’s dazzling defensive flair earned him nine Gold Glove Awards and his tremendous power earned him an NL MVP award in ’84 as he led the Chicago Cubs to their first postseason appearance since 1945.

21792_15Presented is one of Sandberg’s blue home game worn jerseys. It is a pullover knit garment with a custom v-neck. The circular logo of the Cubs is featured on the chest and the left sleeve features the bear. Both the sleeves and the collar feature red and white accents.

A Wilson label size 42 with wash instructions is featured in the collar with a blue swatch with white stitching: “23 – 84 – 1 42.” The front tail also has a blue swatch 84 [year] white stitched. Overall, shows solid wear.
