1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel Card – Honus Wagner (PSA Graded VG3 – Encapsulated as T206)

Straight from “The Dead Ball” era in 1909, the Philadelphia Caramel card set features 25 cards. The design is reminiscent of the famous T206 series and it is from the same year (1909). The set is cataloged as E95 and it features prominent names like Ty Cobb, Christy Mathewson, Eddie Plank, Johnny Evers, Frank Chance, Chief Bender, Eddie Collins and Sam Crawford.

This card is the first on the E95 checklist and it features “The Flying Dutchman” from the Pittsburgh Pirates, Honus Wagner. Oddly enough, the information on the PSA encapsulation slab is incorrect (although the grade of VG 3 is reasonable). It refers to this card as it’s more famous T206 counterpart. As a collector, this card has a strong and timeless value which will continue to grow. The novelty value however makes it one-of-a-kind.
