1913 Fatima Team (T200) – New York Giants – Nationals (Jim Thorpe, Rube Marquard & Christy Mathewson)

Issued by the Ligget & Myers Tobacco Company is this 1913 Fatima Team (T200) card of the New York Giants who were champs in 1912. The team photo card measures 2-5/8" x 4-3/4" on glossy paper stock. The reverse contains an offer for an enlarged copy (minus the advertisement) in exchange for 40 coupons. The card is in GD condition with expected handling wear (creasing) and corner wear (all are very delicate with two missing). However, it's aged presentation and corner wear in its delicacy does not detract visually from its easily acquired inspiration. Highlight players on the team include Jim Thorpe, Rube Marquard, Christy Mathewson, Chief Myers, Fred Merkle and Hooks Wiltse.
