One of the most beloved landmarks in New England was the famed Boston Garden. Built in 1928 by the City of Boston on Causeway Street, the 15,000 seat facility quickly became Boston’s “sports temple.” The “Gahden” was most famous for being the home to the Boston Celtics and Boston Bruins. The Celtics, led by names like Auerbach, Russell, Cousy and Bird, built themselves into one of the premier franchises in the NBA, winning 16 world titles along the way. The Bruins added another five world championship banners to the Garden rafters with Orr, Cheevers, Esposito, and Bucyk leading the way. The Boston Garden was demolished in November, 1997, after the completion of the new Fleet Center, but its legend lives on with the many fans who sat in its seats and cheered on their teams. Offered here is a pair of attached stadium seats that bore witness to decades of excellence at this historic arena. The seats are in original, unaltered condition thus preserving their full heritage and character. Also included are two additional original back slats, packed with autographs of the men who made the Garden so memorable. The larger slat features 16 autographs from the likes of Cousy, Walton, Heinsohn, Sharman, Russell, Sam Jones, K.C. Jones, Havlicek, Auerbach and Bird. The smaller slat holds three Bruins signatures, including Bobby Orr and Ken Hodge
