1935 World Series (Cubs vs Tigers) Game-Used Ball, Signed and Notated by Game 4 Cubs Pitcher Tex Carleton
Out of stock
Game 4 of the 1935 World Series featured the capable veteran hurler, Tex Carleton, go seven innings in a tough loss, 2-1. It was a Cubs vs. Tigers affair that October, and we believe that this ball saw action in that Game 4. It’s an ONL (Frick) baseball that Carleton signed on the sweet spot. Notations appear, then, on three of the panels, though legible are parts on the south panel, only, to the effect, “Ball off of Tex…World Series Tigers Cubs, Oct. 6, 1935.” The ball itself is mildly soiled, but the stampings are strong and the Carleton signature is about “5-6”.
