1938 Churchman “Boxing Personalities” Complete Set of 50 (Incl. Jack Dempsey, Jack Johnson, Max Schmeling, Joe Louis etc.)

Appearing singly in packs of Churchman Cigarettes in 1938 were these "Boxing Personalities" trading cards. There were 50 different – numbered of course – and to our knowledge, they were distributed exclusively in the British Isles. The overall condition of this complete set is about Excellent – a few cards (fairly commons) that descend to VG while others are freshly EX/MT. As for the major luminaries appearing in the issue, do consider: #’s 3 Max Baer (EX), 6 James Braddock (EX/MT), 12 Jack Dempsey (EX), 20 Jack Johnson (VG/EX), 26 Joe Louis (VG/EX), 34 Max Schmeling (EX+), and Gene Tunney (VG/EX).
