Description
In 1938, Ted Williams had a good season with the Minneapolis Millers with a .366 average, 43 home runs and 142 RBIs. From that season is this treasure which features the Minneapolis Millers vs. the St. Paul Saints. Both Minor League teams were gateways to the Majors by many. It was basically a duel between the youngsters of the Red Sox (Millers) and the White Sox (Saints). The Millers had one particular prospect that became a Hall of Fame legend in Boston, Ted Williams.
Presented is a scorecard from the cross-town rivalry. It is scored in the interior in pencil and proudly features Ted Williams who had a hit and scored a run. Perhaps it was one of his 48 home runs that he had hit that season? Overall, one of the earliest exemplars of recorded statistics collectibles in the history of Ted Williams.
