Description

1938 Minneapolis Millers Vintage Team-Signed Photo feat. 21 Sigs. Incl. Ted Williams (JSA Full LOA)

In 1938, Ted Williams had a good season with the Minneapolis Millers with a .366 average, 43 home runs and 142 RBIs.

From that season is this treasure that turned up in the Minneapolis area. It’s a heavy stock premium completely autographed by everyone shown (21) even Wheaties Sports Announcer (WCCO), Eddie Gallaher. All of the players are identified in the photo for “Radio Appreciation Day – Nicolett Park – Minneapolis 1938”.

The photo (8.5×10) was signed in black fountain pen – the signatures have faded and are very light but legible “2-3”. Third from the left in the top row is Ted Williams (his signature rates “3” which is on the more legible scale). Other signers include Wilfred Lefebvre, Andy Cohen, Roy Pfleger, Coaker Triplett, Bud Parmalee, Ken Richardson, Stan Spence and many others.

The premium itself is in very good condition with a horizontal crease along the top quarter of the photo. This is for the Red Sox collector who wants something special as it is impossibly rare.

The photo includes a full JSA LOA for authentication.
