Offered here is a MVP (Most Valuable Player) Trophy presented to former NFL Player Tod Goodwin who was playing for the American Association (American Football team the Wilmington Clippers. Tod Played Pro Football in the early stages of the NFL for 2 seasons 1935 &1936 before leaving to play for the Wilmington Clippers of the American Football League. Presented here is his 1940 MVP trophy presented to him by the Warner Bros.Theater trophy. The Trophy from the base to the top is 17″ inches tall .the silver Football player on top measures 7″ inches tall. it looks like sterling silver but I don’t see any markings. what an amazing trophy. Made by Levan & Bros. Philadelphia PA . American Association (American football) returned to a two-division, eight team format as the Wilmington Clippers and the Providence Steamroller (independent teams in 1937 and 1938) Charles R. “Tod” Goodwin was an American athlete who played football collegiately at West Virginia University. Playing the position of end, Goodwin spent the 1935 and 1936 season playing professional football for the New York Football Giants
