The 1942 New York Yankees season was the team’s 40th season in New York and its 42nd overall. The team finished with a record of 103–51, winning their 13th pennant, finishing 9 games ahead of the Boston Red Sox. New York was managed by Joe McCarthy. The Yankees played home games at Yankee Stadium. In the World Series, they lost to the St. Louis Cardinals in 5 games.
Presented is a notebook page autographed by members of the 1942 New York Yankees team with many who are in the Baseball Hall of Fame. The paper features a handwritten notation in blue pen about the origin as to when/where it was autographed (May 1942). The (16) signers in black pen include: Buddy Rosar, Art Fletcher, Earle Combs, Phil Rizzuto, Joe DiMaggio, Frank Crosetti, Joe Gordon, Buddy Hassett, George Selkirk, Atley Donald, Paul Schreiber, Hank Borowy, Eddie Kearse, Lefty Gomez, Charlie Keller and Red Rolfe. The page measures 4×6 and features tape around the edges as it is affixed to a backing paper.
