1948 Philadelphia Athletics Multi-Signed Ball (12 Sigs. w/Connie Mack)
Out of stock
Generously shellacked after receiving its dozen autographs, this quality MacGregor GoldSmith baseball dates to 1948. The ancient Philadelphia Athletics of renown, were now a humble franchise, destined never to return to glory until their circuitous migration to Oakland. The issue at hand, though. is this ball and its autographs. We first confess that one of them defies identification (too light), but thereafter, these are all “5” or stronger. That the ball traces to ’48 is concluded by the appearance of journeyman Skeeter Webb who labored only his final major league season in Shibe Park. The Grand Old Man, trong>Connie Mack, inked the sweet spot – a signature projecting at a strength of about “trong>6-7”. The panels then hold Webb, Barney McCoskey, Dave Keefe, Dick Fowler, Eddie Joost, Sam Chapman, Earle Brucker, Alex Kellner, Les McCrabb, and Don White.
