1949 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Press Pin

The facade of Ebbets Field, in the memory of most, has served as the defining character of the Flatbush Nine. And the image of such is delivered most effectively in the franchise’s 1949 World Series press pin. The visually exhilarating piece was manufactured by Balfour. (This is one of that company’s earliest productions and, according to press pin researcher Jim Johnston, Balfour never stamped their identity on their early pins.) This particular piece, as a function of some light spotting in the central metallic area, is about Near Mint; the enamel is perfect and, as should be anticipated, the pin includes its original nut.
