1950 New York Yankees World Series Press Pin

Despite their seemingly endless string of World Series appearances (and the consequent need for innovation in press pins), the Yankees always managed to emerge in October with a fresh design in those little treasures for the media. Perfectly typifying is the splendid rendering they sanctioned for 1950. Retaining their presently traditional patriotic top hat, the ’50 Yankees press pin, as is here offered, was embellished in a handsomely artistic triangular badge to proclaim all the necessary particulars. This pin bears a light glaze of tarnish on the bat’s plating, and there are also a couple light spots of tarnish in benign areas of the background. Otherwise, this piece is virtually perfect – especially in the enameling; it includes the original nut and we advance it as strong EX/MT.
