Description

Jacob Kaufman’s newly formed Leslie Company took over Spalding’s cap making business around 1949 or 1950. . After Tim McAuliffe closed in 1968 or early 1969, Leslie continued making caps for MLB teams, changing the McAuliffe label to the KM Pro label. Leslie also made MLB Caps under their own Leslie label.

Based on this time line, we believe this to be a vintage cap from the 1960’s with their own Leslie Label.  As we do not see this “S” style logo within the White Sox Logo history or the Seattle Mariner’s logo history, we would conclude that this is just a vintage cap of the era.  The interior leather rim has wear.  On the underside of the brim number “26” has been written on in black marker.

Nice vintage style blue cap.
