1951 Ned Garver All-Star Game Used Bat, Signed.Go Back
1951 Ned Garver All-Star Game Used Bat, Signed.
Out of stock
Among the most coveted of all bats to serious collectors is the All-Star bat, whose royal lineage and intense rarity sets it apart from the rest. Particularly scarce is this bat issued to St. Louis Brown pitcher Ned Garver, as 1951 was the only season he found himself a participant (the American League’s starting pitcher!) in the Midsummer Classic. Garver took only one at-bat during this event, striking out against Hall of Famer Robin Roberts. The result is a pristine, as-issued specimen of an All-Star bat that’s over a half century old! Louisville Slugger O16 has block lettered “All Star Game, Garver, Detroit 1951” burnt into the barrel, which shows no sign of use at all. Length and weight are thirty-four and a half inches and ounces respectively. Blue ink signature on the barrel is slightly bled into the wood grain, leaving it at a 9/10.
