1952 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Press Pin

By 1952 the artistic genius of Willard Mullin had reached dizzying perfection in his image of the beloved Brooklyn Bum. And as the Dodgers proceeded to another Fall Classic, they paid due tribute to the man who effectively defined the franchise. As shown in our photo, Mullin’s Bum proclaims that "This is Next Year" (in response to the mournful chorus of Dodger fans, "Wait ’til Next Year.") Sadly, the 1952 World Series proved to be yet another defeat at the hands of the heartless Yankees. Meanwhile the ’52 Dodger press pin remains among the most coveted in our avocation. This one is in virtually pristine NM/MT condition with no voids in the delicate enamel work of the characters; there’s no tarnish to the metallic surfaces and the pin includes its original nut.
