1952 New York Yankees Team-Signed Ball w/Mantle, Stengel

Out of stock

SKU: 17531 Category:

A case could be argued that this offered ball was penned by the 1953 Yankees. However, one of its signers (we’re nearly certain) was Joe Ostrowski, which therefore dates this relic to 1952. The ball’s stampings are completely faded, but its quality suggests that it is an official American League. It holds 26 signatures, represented by the full range of preservation (averaging “5”). Among these signings, though, are those of Casey Stengel and Mickey Mantle. Both are fully legible – Stengel’s signature meriting “8”, while that of Mantle projecting at “6”. The remaining autographs itemize Allie Reynolds, Johnny Mize, Joe Collins, Gil McDougald, Gene Woodling, Charlie Silvera, Ralph Houk, Billy Martin, Johnny Sain, Yogi Berra, Ed Lopat, Bill Miller, Ewell Blackwell, Irv Noren, Vic Raschi, Charlie Keller, Phil Rizzuto, Jim Turner, Frank Crosetti, Hank Bauer and three others.
