1953 Brooklyn Dodgers World Series Press Pin

Upon first beholding the 1953 Brooklyn Dodger World Series press pin, we’re inclined to regard it as austere, a bit wanting in character. But our full measure of admiration emerges when it’s considered that the manufacture of this pin was no routine task. Most challenging was the application of broad sweeps of pure blue enamel which are then accentuated with majestic silver plated detail. Most ’53 Dodger pins can’t pass the scrutiny of discriminating collectors. This one, on the other hand, excels in every aspect. The enamel was uniformly and thoroughly applied to perfection, and the silver plated particulars (to include the entire perimeter) are the finest. With its original nut, this particular piece is fully NM/MT – a magnificent survivor through more than a half century.
