1953 World Champion New York Yankees Team-Signed Ball (28 Sigs.)
Out of stock
We introduce this Yankee team-signed ball to confess that its Mantle signature has been deemed of the “clubhouse” variety – though the penmanship is quite convincing. There are a total of 28 signatures about the surface, and three of its pennings – those of Kraly, Renna and Bollweg – firmly date this composite to the World Champion Yankees of 1953. The signatures are light, but all of them are discernible, projecting at strengths of about “3” to “6”. The ball is unofficial, but it’s an acceptably clean and high-quality Wilson. trong>Yogi Berra and Bob Kuzava appear on the sweet spot, and we continue then in identifying Tom Gorman, Gene Woodling, Bill Miller, Johnny Sain (signed twice), Steve Kraly, Ed Lopat, trong>Whitey Ford, Gil McDougald, Bill Renna, Jerry Coleman, Charlie Silvera, trong>Phil Rizzuto, Allie Reynolds, Hank Bauer, Joe Collins, Andy Carey, Jim McDonald, Ralph Houk, trong>Billy Martin (“3”), Vic Raschi, Art Schallock, Don Bollweg, Irv Noren and trong>Johnny Mize.
