A splendid rendering of 28 different signatures on this OAL (Harridge) ball amounting to the pennant-winning Pale Hose of 1959. All of these autographs are readily legible and their quality deviates very little from "8". The ball is mildly toned, but there are no blemishes of note. In detail, there are scribed here: Rudy Arias, Earl Battey, Ray Berres, Johnny Callison, Norm Cash, Johnny Cooney, Tony Cuccinello (sweet spot), Larry Doby, Dick Donovan, Del Ennis, Sammy Esposito, Nellie Fox ("8"), Don Gutteridge, Jim Landis, Barry Latman, Sherm Lollar, Al Lopez ("8-9", sweet spot), Turk Lown, Bubba Phillips, Billy Pierce, Jim Rivera, Johnny Romano, Bob Shaw, Harry Simpson, Al Smith, Jerry Staley, Earl Torgeson, and Early Wynn. That the ball’s signing dates to that 1959 American League championship season is assured by the signatures of one-year White Sox Rudy Arias and Del Ennis.
