The Mercury Seven was a group of seven Mercury astronauts selected by NASA on April 9, 1959. The seven original American astronauts were Alan Shepard, Gus Grissom, John Glenn, Scott Carpenter, Wally Schirra, Gordon Cooper and Deke Slayton.

The group flew all classes of NASA spacecrafts like Mercury, Gemini, Apoloo and the Space Shuttle. John Glenn who is an United States senator in Ohio is the only living member of the seven left. Gus Grissom died in 1967 in the Apollo 1 fire.

Presented is a rare 8×10 photo signed by six of the astronauts. The six in blue felt tip include: John Glen, Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, Wally Schirra, Alan Shepard and Deke Slayton. The photo is showcased in a display measuring 16.5×18.5 . It includes a full LOA from PSA/DNA for authentication.
