1960 Topps #350 Mickey Mantle

Hotly anticipated by young collectors in 1960 was this rendering of the slugging hero Mickey Mantle. His berth in this issue was card #350, and at this point in his career, Mick was still in his late twenties, but with a Triple Crown and two MVP awards in his dossier. This particular card is remotely qualified by a very slightly uneven surface at the far left border (which is detectable only under a fixed angle of light reflection). Otherwise, we note that the centering is 65/35 (top-to-bottom) and nearly ideal horizontally. The surfaces, front and back, are nearly faultless (citing only the slightest of print imperfection in the front’s background), and there are no creases whatsoever. In the final consideration – the corners – we report only light wear – ultimately yielding this hobby favorite EX/MT.
