Description

Jerry Quarry was one of the most popular fighters in boxing from 1968-71. He stepped in the ring with the likes of world champions like Floyd Patterson, Jimmy Ellis, Joe Frazier, Muhammad Ali and Ken Norton. His career record was 53 wins with 9 losses (& four draws). He had big wins over some of the best heavyweights of his era.

And for that enthusiast pursuing artifacts from the art of pugilism, we offer this custom pair of Jerry Quarry fight worn trunks and a robe. Both are a dark navy blue crushed velvet material with accents in white rope style flourishes and white satin interiors (shows heavy wear/aging).

The trunks with his initials embroidered on front “JQ” have an an elastic waistband (with drawstring) and white satin interior to protect from the velvet exterior. Several fights show Quarry wearing this style of solid color crushed velvet trunks as a preference in the ring (i.e. vs. Floyd Patterson & Thad Spencer).

Overall, show tremendous wear with sweat staining throughout. Although the exact fight from which this comes is unknown, they are ring worn and truly a stylistic match as to what Quarry preferred to wear as indicated above (i.e. vs. Floyd Patterson & Thad Spencer) . For top notch authentication, these come directly from the Quarry family and include a letter.

Authentication: Family Letter.
