Description

Presented is a warm-up outfit worn by Ken Schinkel who was on the NHL hockey team the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1960s. The blue outfit worn by Schinkel features a zip-up jacket and a pair of pants. The jacket has the interior tagging by Boston Bruins Pro Hockey Shop [size] 48 and additional wash instructions. The back has each letter of the team name sewn-on in blue/white tackle twill. The pants have the matching wash instructions tag. These originate from Schinkel directly and include a provenance letter from him as authentication.

The provenance letter reads as follows:

Dear Valued Collector,

I, Ken Schinkel, am a former professional ice hockey right wing and coach. I played for the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League between 1950-73 in which I became a 2x All Star, before coaching in the Penguins from 1972-77.

This is a jersey warm-up that I wore during my career with the Pittsburgh Penguins. It has been in my possession ever since.

Signed – Ken Schinkel.
