1960s Tommy Davis Signed, Inscribed, Game-Used Bat (PSA/DNA GU 8)

Whether it be in a pinch hitting situation or as a starter, Tommy Davis could hit. The two-time batting champ finished up with the highest average for a pinch hitter. Davis swung this uncracked Hillerich & Bradsby model M169 bat (35″ and 35.6 ounces) when he was a starter with the Dodgers. The labeling period suggests it was used between 1961-62. Moderate use is shown with numerous ball scuffs and a few light cleat marks. “12” is written in black marker on the knob which also has “M169” stamped in. Davis signed the barrel in black felt tip with the inscription “N.L. Batting Champ 1962 1963.” PSA/DNA Bats gave this an assessment of GU 8.
