1961 Detroit Tigers Team-Signed Ball (Kaline)
Out of stock
Although runner-up to the mighty New York Yankees in the American League race, the 1961 Detroit Tigers remain known as one of the most prolific teams in franchise history. This unofficial souvenir ball includes the signatures of 21 members of that memorable group. They include Hank Aguirre, George Alusik, Reno Bertoia, Jack Bowen (coach), Steve Boros, Dick Brown, Norm Cash, Phil Cavarretta (coach), Rocky Colavito, Terry Fox, Don Heffner (coach), Frank House, Ron Kline, Dick McAuliffe, Manny Montejo, Bubba Morton, Don Mossi, Larry Osborne, Phil Regan, Bob Scheffing (manager) and Jerry Staley. Except for Jim Bunning, Al Kaline and Frank Lary, virtually every significant player is accounted for here. The autographs are in black or blue ink, and as many as three erasures are evident on the moderately faded memento.
