Description

The Celtics of the 1960s rank alongside the Packers of the same decade, Edmonton Oilers of the ’80s and even the Yankees’ ’20s and ’30s run as far as excellance is concerned. This Bob Cousy Super K ball is signed by the majority of the 1963-64 championship squad. The main penning is that of Bill Russell. Always a reluctant signer, someone coerced the giant to pen his identity on this ball. This ball may be traced to ’63-64 because it includes John McCarthy who was only rostered with the Celtics for that one season.

Quality-wise, the 14 autographs run the gamut. Each grade will be notated with the name. Those who signed this rubber ball in marker include: Red Auerbach ("7-8"), Bob Cousy ("3"), John Havlicek ("5′), Tommy Heinsohn ("4-5"), K.C. Jones ("4"), Sam Jones ("4′), Jim Loscutoff ("7"), McCarthy ("7-8"), Willie Naulls ("4"),  Russell ("3-4"), Tom "Satch" Sanders ("7"), Larry Siegfried ("8") and two others.

The ball doesn’t appear to hold air.
