Description
The late Adolph Rupp years looked promising with Dan Issel’s commitment to the Wildcats in 1966. Over the next four years Dan Issel would score an average of 25.7 per game, adding up to 2,137 points in his college career. This made Issel the player with the most points to ever play at Kentucky, a feat that has not been matched to this day. This included his 53 points scored against Mississippi State in 1970, the most by a Kentucky player in a single game until Jodie Meeks made 54 against rival Tennessee on 2-13-09.Issel would not capture the national championship in his college years, but would go on to make a name for himself in the ABA.
Presented is a game-worn pullover warm-up jacket from the University of Kentucky Wildcats. It epitomizes the style in the 1960s-’70s with a fly collar accent and flouncy hem. The Wilson warm-up [size] L shows the Kentucky blue name blazed across the back along with highlight striping. The tagging on the snap jacket dates to the 1967-73 era which was the late Adolph Rupp years with the team. Overall, a solid collegiate find for any Wildcats collector.
