1967 Super Bowl II Raiders Signed Ball
Out of stock
John Madden was a part of the Oakland Raiders first Super Bowl appearance and helped the team claim its first title when he became head coach. “Raider Nation” would never be the same after Madden put his mark on the organization. This ball, signed in black ballpoint, comes from before Madden was even the head coach. The ball’s signing dates to 1967, when the Raiders earned a berth in Super Bowl II, and Madden was in his first season as a linebackers coach. John Rauch was the head coach and his team fell to the mighty Vince Lombardi and the Green Bay Packers. The autographs on this Spalding American Conference (Wilt Woodland) ball have endured remarkably well, given the time it was signed. The lineup includes: Dan Birdwell, Mike Eischeid, Ben Davidson, Gene Upshaw, Duane Benson, Ike Lassiter, Bob Kruse, Roger Hagberg, Kent McCloughan, David Daniels, John Williamson, Rod Sherman, Jim Otto, Ken Herrock, Ray Schmautz, Larry Todd, Fred Biletnikoff, Rodger Bird, Charley Green, Dave Grayson, Harry Schuh, Howie Williams, Bill Budness, Wayne Hawkins, Tom Keating, Jim Harvey, Bill Laskey, Darryl Lamonica, Warren Powers, Carleton Oats, Hewitt Nixon, John Madden and one other.
