1970’s Charlie West Game-Worn Helmet Vikings – COA 100% Authentic Team

Charlie West is a former safety who played for three National Football League teams. He played in Super Bowl IV as a member of the Minnesota Vikings. He also still holds the UTEP career record of 19 interceptions, including a school record four in one game. West returned kicks and punts for the Minnesota Vikings, and still holds the team’s record for longest punt return. On November 3, 1968, playing the Washington Redskins, West returned a Mike Bragg punt 98 yards for a touchdown.

Presented is a vintage 1970’s game worn Charlie West Minnesota Vikings helmet. The helmet is Vikings purple and features the horn logos on both sides. The helmet shows great wear with scuffs and scrapes present on the exterior. The interior has a suspension padding system and features great use with sweat, soiling and yellowing discoloration. The Riddell helmet has a KRA-LITE 8 shell date of 1970 and features a #40 marked on tape inside the interior. It is a size 7-1/8 and has the original BD9 facemask with chinstrap still present. Overall, a great vintage Vikings gamer.
