1970s Steve Carlton Game-Worn Phillies Windbreaker Jacket

Out of stock

SKU: 25708 Category:

This beautiful satin burgundy windbreaker jacket was used by Steve Carlton prior to games and working out between starts. Wilson-made, it sports the 1974-79 label style in the collar with the correct [size] “46” designator. The sewn button front, with drawstring waist and elasticized ribbed sleeve ends, is the style often seen in pictures of “Lefty” on off days. There are no team markings or numeric identifiers, but Carlton gave it to Mike Schmidt’s long-time friend, Bruce Wendell. Wendell’s letter accompanies the jacket, providing solid provenance. For the discerning Carlton collector looking for interesting peripheral display support.
