1970s Willie McCovey Game-Used, Signed Bat (PSA GU 7.5)Go Back
1970s Willie McCovey Game-Used, Signed Bat (PSA GU 7.5)
Out of stock
The original “Big Mac” (not the sandwich), Willie McCovey ruled the bleachers with his spectacular home runs during the 1970s. He used this Adirondack bat (155A) during that era, when he played for three different teams, including the Giants, A’s and Padres. Signed (“9″) by McCovey in blue marker on the barrel, the bat (34-3/4” and 33.3 oz.) shows heavy game use with hit and rack marks (blue/red) aplenty. There is also a light application of pine tar on the upper handle. The distinguishing feature is the flat knob which has his uniform number “44” marked in black felt tip. To note, there’s a crack in the handle which has splintered, but which doesn’t detract from the integrity of the bat. PSA/DNA Bats has awarde this one trong>GU 7.5.
