1971 Rich Buzin Game-Worn L. A. Rams Jersey w/ Original Crotchpiece

Rich Buzin’s stay in Los Angeles was short-lived. The burly offensive lineman fit himself into this mammoth size “52” heavy cotton knit jersey when it was game time in 1971. This was a rare one-year style. This style bridged the gap from the durene era to the onset of mesh jerseys. The style is simple, yet effective. Ribbed material is sewn onto the shoulders which would become known as “ram horns.” The cross-over V-neck is created in the same material as the ram horns are. Both under arms are equipped with diamond-shaped inserts. All of the identifiers are heat applique including the NOB which is affixed to a nameplate. The original crotchpiece and six buttons are still intact in the tail. A Rawlings size label and washing instructions tag are both secured on the crotchpiece. Decent use is shown with a number of hit scrapes on the shoulder numerals.
