Description
Jim Bubsy was solid baseball player for several teams during his 13-year career. He enjoyed an All-Star appearance in 1951. After his playing days, he became a coach.
This game-worn jersey was from his coaching staff presence with the Atlanta Braves in 1972. The classic style was famous because it was the era that Hank Aaron topped Babe Ruth for the home run record. The Braves “8” appears beneath the two-button collar on chest, with the digits repeated in larger format on verso. The sleeves sport a distinctive feather design that makes jersey this a collector favorite. Interior collar holds dual “Sand-Knit” labeling with Braves exclusivity and “Size 42” language. Just below these tags is an embroidered swatch “Coach Busby 72 Set 2.” Solid wear is present with some natural aging/yellowing.
