1972 Pro Bowl – New York Jets – Joe Namath Game-Worn, Signed Jersey (Provenance LOA, JSA)

This item is from the collection of one of the foremost Joe Namath collectors in the world. His friendship with Joe since the beginning of his Jets career has led him to receive some amazing one-of-a-kind relics. Each piece hearkens back to an important NFL era and time capsules an unforgettable character with a Hall of Fame career.

The Pro Bowl in the 1970s was more about establishing a rivalry between the National League and the American League than anything else. Namath with the Jets was part of that experience that brought stars together on the gridiron.

This white American (side) jersey is from 1972 (Namath’s only Pro Bowl). It has the Rawlings size 46 tagging with wash instructions on the front. Jersey with red/blue heavy screened on identifiers shows some casual wear but it must be noted that Namath did not participate in the game. Namath signed it fully on the back in blue marker with his nickname and jersey number, “Joe Willie Namath x12” for his friend. According to the provenance paperwork, the jersey was originally obtained by a Rams trainer at the game then later went to a memorabilia company.
