1972 Yankees Team-Signed Baseball w/ Munson

By the early ’70’s, the Yankees were re-energizing after nearly a decade of dormancy. Soon, pennants and World Series glory would return to the Bronx. Along this journey, though – 1972, to be precise – 21 of them signed this unofficial baseball. These are all legible signatures, projecting at a strength of about “5” to “8”. Occupying the sweet spot are Bobby Murcer, Mel Stottlemyre and Fritz Peterson. Then about the panels, we note Steve Kline, Celerino Sanchez, Johnny Callison, Mike Kekich, Roy White, Horace Clarke, Ron Blomberg, Lindy McDaniel, Hal Lanier, Wade Blasingame, John Ellis, Thurman Munson (“6”), Fred Beene, Sparky Lyle, Bernie Allen, Rusty Torres, Ron Swoboda and Jerry Kenney.
