1973-74 Al Kaline Game-Used Bat, Given to Bat Boy PSA/DNA GU 7

The fans of Detroit have never forgotten the daily hustle Al Kaline exhibited for some 22 seasons; Kaline’s tenure in Detroit was the third longest in major league history. Offered here is a bat which Kaline swung when his career was winding down. He personally gave the bat to our consignor, who was a bat boy for the Tigers. Our bat authenticator isolates Kaline’s use of this M110 bat (34.5″ and 34.2 ounces) to 1973-74, the final two years of his career when he was relegated to the new role of designated hitter. This sweet ash stick shows blue scuff marks from hit contact and a light layering of pine tar on the handle. A great uncracked bat from one of Detroit’s most beloved sports figures. PSA/DNA graded this bat to be GU 7.
