Artist Bob Peak depicts the essence of the late, great Colts QB as an island of poise and confidence amid utter NFL mayhem, in a masterfully rendered 20 x 24-inch work from S.I.’s celebrated "Living Legends" series of the early-70s. Few of the series’ subjects are still living, yet all survive as legends, and none more gloriously than Johnny U. This substantial and dramatic display features extraordinary color and depth, as well as a delectable autograph penciled ("10") by Unitas in the bottom border. The Near Mint LE is #190/1500.
