A 6’11” center from the University of Texas-Pan American, Otto Moore played nine seasons (1968–1977) in the National Basketball Association as a member of the Detroit Pistons, Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Kansas City–Omaha Kings, and New Orleans Jazz. He averaged 8.2 points and 8.2 rebounds in his NBA career and ranked eighth in blocks per game (1.7) during the 1975–76 NBA season.
Welcome to the auction block…this authentic Otto Moore 1975-76 game-worn white jersey. He played for the New Orleans Jazz that season and the jersey is intricately tied to the New Orleans & Utah Jazz team right before they moved to Utah.
The front features the Jazz logo and jersey #34 screened on. To highlight the team’s colors, green and yellow ribbing is around the arms and neck openings. His name is not on the back which was common in this era of recycling jerseys forward. The only tagging is by the manufacturer Sand-Knit [size] 42. Overall, it shows tremendous wear from a season of use.
To complete the uniform a pair of white game shorts are also included. They are Champion [size] 36-38 with his jersey number “34” on a patch. There’s also a handwritten “20” on the Champion tag. Most, likely they were multi-purposed for different players as this was common during the era.
