1975-79 Jim McElroy Game-Worn Warm-Up Jacket New Orleans JazzGo Back
A 6’3″ guard from Central Michigan University, Jim McElroy played in the NBA from 1975 to 1982 as a member of the New Orleans Jazz, Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks. He averaged 9.9 points and 3.5 assists in his career and ranked tenth overall in total assists (453) during the 1978-79 NBA season.
Presented is Jim McElroy game-worn button snap-down style warm-up jacket from the New Orleans Jazz. He only played (1975-79) with the New Orleans Jazz. It originates directly from a team-source and epitomizes pro-basketball style in the late ’70’s early 1980s.
The flamboyant leisure suit scheme is mainly yellow but shows a patchwork of Jazz color including a contrasting green pointed dentist collar with fancy shoulder lapels and front button pockets. The front also features seven buttons and the tail portion features a purple “Jazz Logo”.
The back features pre-color screened on Jazz logo which measures a whopping 7″. The jacket displays to the New Orleans era with Medalist Sand-Knit label featuring player size (40). And players numbers handwritten on the tags (#33 & 15). The number designation is consistent with exemplars we have seen on the market and in our database. The snazzy jacket also has great game wear. It is missing one of the snaps. Consistent wear from an entire season can be seen throughout.
