Description

Freddie Boyd is a retired American (NBA) player whose career lasted from 1972–1978. He played in college for Oregon State University, and was drafted in the first round (5th overall) of the 1972 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, Boyd played in 327 career games over six seasons for the 76ers and the New Orleans Jazz.

Presented is a pair of his purple game shorts from his time in New Orleans. They feature team color green/yellow ribbing/piping along the waist, sides and leg ends. They are Sand Knit [size] on one patch in the waistband and the other is an Exclusivity New Orleans Jazz tag. There’s also a handwritten “4” on the tag as his player identifier. Overall, show tremendous use and were most likely recycled forward as this was a common practice during the era.
