Ben Poquette was drafted by the Detroit Pistons in the second round (36th pick) of the 1977 NBA Draft, and played for them in 1978-79. He also played for the Utah Jazz in 1980-83, the Cleveland Cavaliers in 1984-87, and the Chicago Bulls in 1987. He left the NBA after that season.
Presented is a Ben Poquette game-worn pullover (1980-81) warm-up jacket from the Utah Jazz. It originates directly from a team-source and epitomizes pro-basketball style in the 1980s. This one, in particular, can be dated to 1980-81 primarily because of the decorative 35th Anniversary patch on the sleeve. They only wore the 35th-anniversary patch 1980-81.
The warm-up shows the Jazz color including a striped pattern in yellow/purple/green across the front and highlighted collar/sleeve ends in the same colors. The front also features a screened on Jazz logo. The back of the jacket has a sewn-on name-plate with a screened on “POQUETTE”. Consistent wear from an entire season can be seen throughout, with puckering and fraying.
