1980’s MTV Tee-Shirt Vintage Music Television “You and Me and MTV”

Presented is an original vintage promotional MTV t-shirt. The white shirt is vintage ’80’s and measures 22″ across the chest and the 28.5″ from top of collar seam to bottom. Vintage tagging is Fruit of the Loom (XL). Nice cartoon art on the front “You and Me and MTV” and blank back. The shirt features some staining/discoloration.

This lot is from the T-Shirt collection from the estate of Chuck Landis (aka Largo) veteran promoter, concert best known as co-founder of the Roxy West Hollywood rock club in the early 1970’s and in 1980.  Many of the T-Shirts come from performances that were at the venue.  They have been locked away for many until now. 

The Rox bar was a regular hangout for John Lennon, Harry Nilsson, Alice Cooper and Keith Moon Heidi Fleiss in the 1980s.    So you can only imagine what stories can tell?
