Description
Only two players have ever claimed 4,000 hits in the history of Major League baseball. Peter Rose was one of them. In fact, he outhit everybody who has ever played the game. Rose played for the Phillies from 1979-83 when he wore this maroon ABC helmet. Front has a great deal of use. Some of the paint has been chipped off. Black scuff marks and blue marks also appear on the front. White “14” stenciled into the front tip. Rose also put a perfect “10/10” gold paint pen signature on the front bill. White Phillies emblem has been put on the front. Inside has American Baseball Company (size) “7 1/2” sticker. “14” written in black Sharpie. Inner plastic headband has yellowed with age. Rose was only in Philadelphia for a few years. Finding anything worn by the Hit King is hard enough. To find something that he wore with the Phillies is a tall feat.
