Description
Pete Rose redefined the discipline of consistent hitting, and it’s virtually impossible that his record will ever be broken. He used this Mizuno model R3631 in 1981. The uncracked bat measures approximately 34 1/4” and weighs 32.3 oz. The lumber shows moderate use with hit and black ball transfer marks. The handle has a light application of pine tar and gray tape, separated into four segments. Rose hustled his blue felt tip signature on the barrel, adding the notation, “Best Wishes, Charlie Hustle, August 10, 1981.” The date refers to the day Rose broke Stan Musial’s National League hit record. PSA/DNA deemed this a pan style=”font-weight: bold;”>GU 7.5.
