1982 Harold Carmichael Game-Worn Eagles Jersey (Heavy Mesh)

If a player can make it in Philadelphia, he can make it anywhere. No other city worships or criticizes it’s athletes with the passion of Philly’s faithful. One of the most popular Eagles to ever grace the gridiron was Harold Carmichael. The undersized receiver saw both ends of the NFL spectrum – woeful teams and a Super Bowl. Through it all, Carmichael was about as consistent as any receiver in the ’70s and early ’80s.

This size "48" Russell Athletic jersey was worn by Carmichael in 1982 as he grabbed 35 passes for 540 yards in only nine games. Great use is shown on this road white jersey with contact marks on the verso "7" numeral. The portal fishnet main body (heavier mesh) is supported by traditional mesh shoulder yokes. The numerals (with noticeable puckering) are applied in two-color tackle twill while "CARMICHAEL" is screened to a nameplate in single-color green. Ribbed side inserts are apparent and both underarms have inserts as well. A Russell Athletic size "48" tag is sewn into the tail with an "82" (year) tag located to its side. The jersey was originally purchased at a tent sale held by Gold Medal Sporting Goods – the Eagles outfitters at the time. The sporting goods company did all of the repairs for the team.
