1982 Mike Schmidt Game-Used, Signed Bat (PSA GU 7)

Mike Schmidt may be known for his 548 home runs above all else. The power-hitting third baseman could reliably be penciled in for nearly 40 home runs a season. Schmidt swung this Adirondack model MS20 (35-1/2″ and 34.7 ounces) bat in 1982. A number of hit and scuff (ball) marks have accumulated from Schmidt’s mighty contact. Phillie-red bat rack marks also make an appearance on the barrel. The repaired handle (cracked) has a light coat of pine tar. For easy identification, a “20” is written in black marker on the knob. Schmidt acknowledged the bat with a signature (“9”) in blue felt tip. PSA/DNA Bats authenticator John Taube assessed this gem a grade trong>GU 7.
