1982 Steve Garvey Game-Worn, Autographed Dodgers Jersey

Shortly after his retirement, Steve Garvey’s name was repeatedly whispered among baseball writers intimate with Cooperstown. Garvey had Popeye’s forearms and could change the complexion of a game with one swing of the bat. The first sacker played the majority of his career in Los Angeles, where he posted some impressive numbers and basked in countless plaudits.

This size “44” Goodman & Sons jersey was worn by Garvey near the end of his tenure in L. A. Light use is exhibited on this jersey with fraying on the two-color tackle twill identifiers. The front “6” numeral is applied in single-color red tackle twill, and “GARVEY” is sewn directly to the verso. A Goodman & Sons size tag appears in the collar. Garvey was presented this jersey at a recent signing and he penned his identity to the verso numeral in silver paint pen. He also added the inscription “1974 NL ROY 74-78 All-Star MVP.” A PSA/DNA certificate will be provided to the winning bidder.
