Out of stock
Milwaukee Brewer fans have had little to cheer about for some 25 years. The last time the Brew Crew had a championship caliber team was 1982. Harvey’s Wallbangers became fan favorites because of their unprecedented power surge. One of the team’s biggest boppers, Ben Oglivie, donned this size “42” jersey a year after the team advanced to the World Series. Oglivie, known as Spiderman for his wall scaling antics, wore this white pinstriped home pull-over in ’83. All of the identifiers are sewn on in brilliant two-color tackle twill. Wonderful puckering is apparent on all of the identifiers. Dual Sand Knit labels are sewn in tandem in the tail: exclusivity and size. A separate swatch (“83 Oglivie 42Z”) appears in the inner tail. Oglivie signed the front in black felt tip, adding the personalization “To Rob Best Regards.” Originally, the jersey was purchased from a Brewers’ Wives charity auction in the ’80s although their is no accompanying documentation to that event.
