Description

The ability to reach first base is a task on any baseball level but in the Major Leagues it is especially necessary to master. During Pete Rose’s career, the record for singles (3215) was set. On 7-26-84, Rose began his journey by breaking Ty Cobb’s previous record (3051). Offered here, is Pirate’s broadcaster, Lanny Frattare’s scorecard accounting of 7-26. Rose signed the NM/MT scorecard in blue felt tip pen with the inscription commemorating the occasion “3052 1 Bs.”
